St. John’s Bible Exhibit September 28 – November 1, & Workshop October 25
17 framed prints from the Saint John’s Bible, medieval manuscripts, calligraphy, and icons, are on display through Saturday, November 1, 2008 at the Carnegie Center for the Arts, Three Rivers, MI. Hours are 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Tuesday – Friday and 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Saturdays. The Exhibition is free. A day of presentations & workshops will be on October 25, 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. There is a workshop fee. Dr. Steve Janco will be discussing the U. S. bishop's new document on liturgical music, Sing to the Lord: Music in Divine Worship. Steve will provide an overview of the document, discuss a number of significant issues it raises, and explore its implications for parish liturgy. Chant for Beginners – October 18, 2008
The workshop will include presentation on reading chant notation, the history and spirituality of chant and some fundamental chants of the Roman Rite. Fr. Rob Johansen and Fr.
