Following is statement from Most Rev. Paul J. Bradley on the appointment of Rev. John Doerfler as Bishop of Marquette.
"The priests and the Faithful of the Diocese of Kalamazoo, rejoice with the priests and the people of the Diocese of Marquette as they receive the great news that our Holy Father, Pope Francis has appointed Reverend John Doerfler, the Vicar General for the Diocese of Green Bay, as their new shepherd. We ask God's blessings upon Bishop-elect Doerfler as he prepares for his ordination. I look forward to welcoming Bishop-elect Doerfler to our province and working with him to further the mission of the Church. May he be assured of the love and support of the faithful in the Diocese of Kalamazoo as he begins his new apostolic work."
