Population

The population of the Hispanic/Latino resident in the 9 counties is approximately 44,113 people.  Many of them arrived to Michigan as migrants and then decided to stay here permanently. 

Even though many of the residents come from Mexico, there is also a lot of Hispanic/Latinos from Central and South America.  They work in the camps, industrial jobs, and own small businesses, work in social services and there are also a great deal of professionals.
