Pastoral Leadership Formation in Spanish

The Diocese of Kalamazoo in collaboration with the Diocese of Lansing, Diocese of Ft. Wayne/South Bend and the Instituto Cultural de Liderazgo en el Medio-Oeste (ICLM) is offering Pastoral Leadership Formation in Spanish.  The duration of this formation is of 3 years, two academic years and one of pastoral practice with an advisor. This is a more formal pastoral, ecclesial and theological formation in Spanish.  This is a great opportunity and it has been accepted by the Bishop as a pre-requisite for the Diaconate Program (similar to the English program, Discipleship Formation). 

Phase I: Encounter and Identity:
Who can participate: Catechists, ushers, readers, ministers of Holy Communion, liturgy and other ministries, youth leaders and all who wish to learn more about our faith and become more involved in the parish. 

Phase II: Communion and Mission:

Indiana (second year of formation) – Time: 9:00a.m. – 5:00p.m. Next class dates: November 10 & 11, January 12 &13, 2008, February 9 & 10, March 8 & 9, April 19 & 20, May 17 & 18, June 14 & 15. Who can participate: those who have already completed first year of formation.

Lansing (third year of formation) – September 22 & 23Time & Place: from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. at Cristo Rey Church, 201 w. Miller Road, Lansing, MI 48911.  Next class dates: January 26 & 27, 2008, February 23 & 24, March 29 & 30, April 26 & 27, June 7 & 8. 
Who can participate: those who have completed two years of formation.
